Welcome to my first Blog on days out with the kids, this i hope should give you some ideas and info on entertaining your little one's instead of sitting in front of the telly or complaining their so bored during the holidays or weekends.
I took my three kids, Hayley aged 8,Frankie aged 7 and Charlie aged 4 to Horton Park Children's Farm in march. The farm is in Horton lane Epsom Surrey KT19 8PT telephone no. 01372 743984
which is open daily from 10am til 6pm. The entrance price wasn't too expensive at £5.95 per child (2 and over) and each paying child can bring in one adult for just £2.50 and extra adults are £5.95 each so for us 4 it was £20.35 and we had good half day there and could easily spend the whole day there without getting bored or running out of things to do and see.
At Horton park there is a very big soft play for the kids to expore while you can sit down with a cup of tea from the choice full cafe. Once the kids have burt a degee of energy you can move out to the farm where you can see and touch a large variety of animals from sheep, pigs, cow, goats to a llama called jack. The farm has a lot of small animals like guinea pigs and rabbits which you can climb into their pen and stroke.
By then you all should have worked up an appitite where the tea room should help with hot and cold meals, snacks and drinks but if you prefer you can bring you own food and enjoy a picinc.
Around the farm there are many different type of play equipment that should ware the little ones out. I will defently be taking the kids back in the summer, i really recommend it.
